COM/CHM PIGS Emergency Food Drive for Children on SNAP

With the SNAP benefits being shut down for November, there are thousands of kids in the Lansing School District who may have a food shortage next month. This is complicated by thanksgiving break which will further limit access to normally provided school meals. CHM and COM PIGS are uniting to coordinate an emergency food drive in EL to make weekend take home bags for children in select schools.
Boxes will be placed for nonperishable food donations by the East Fee front doors. 1 TOUCH hour per food item or per $10 donation to venmo @maddieevernon, up to 2 hours.
High need items!: Canned food/soups, rice, pasta, peanut butter, cereal, instand mashed potatoes, shelf stable milk, granola bars, apple sauce pouches/cups, crackers, other fun kids snacks, or gift cards to Kroger/Meijer/Aldi/Walmart.
