The Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine — International Osteopathic Medicine Organization (MSUCOM-IOMO) offers a global perspective to its members by supporting global health initiatives with the understanding that there are substantial health care disparities around the world. IOMO works with the Institute of Global Health at Michigan State University (MSU) to facilitate international medical travel opportunities for students at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM).

LGBT & Allies in Medicine at MSUCOM advocates for equality and acknowledging diversity in the medical community. To achieve this equality and recognition, we will educate ourselves and our colleagues in LGBTQ+ issues as they relate to everyday life and the practice of medicine using expertise from the LGBTQ+ community and campus resources.

Our goal is to foster an inclusive environment at MSUCOM and educate our peers to become competent physicians willing to serve and treat individuals from diverse backgrounds to the best of their ability.

We welcome intersectionality, inclusivity and diversity for all to share and converse. Our club's mission is to educate and spread awareness about LGBT+ issues and disparities in medicine. The Student National Medical Association (SNMA) was founded nationally with the purpose of increasing the number of physicians who serve minority and indigent communities. Accordingly, the SNMA develops programs for implementation of urban and rural health care as for the encouragement of minorities to enter and succeed in the health professions.
